Jamie-Lynn Sigler is an American actress and singer best known for her role as Meadow Soprano on the HBO television series The Sopranos from 1999 to 2007. Jamie-Lynn Sigler was born on May 15, 1981, in Jericho, New York. She grew up in a family with two older brothers, Adam and Brian. Her father, Steve Sigler, founded the Men’s Senior Baseball League, while her mother, Connie Sigler, is of Cuban descent. Sigler’s father is of Greek-Jewish and Romanian-Jewish heritage, and her mother was raised Catholic before converting to Judaism upon marriage.
She attended Jericho High School and participated in the Cultural Arts Playhouse in Old Bethpage, New York, where she developed her passion for performing arts at a young age. Her early exposure to theater and performance helped shape her future career path in acting.

Sigler began her professional acting career in 1997 when she was cast as Meadow Soprano, the daughter of New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano, on the HBO series The Sopranos. Interestingly, when her manager first told her about the audition, Sigler initially thought she would need to sing soprano, not realize the role was for a dramatic television series. Personal Life
Sigler was previously married to Abraxas A.J. DiScala, whom she met when she was 19 years old. They married on July 11, 2003, and she changed her name to Jamie-Lynn DiScala during their marriage. They separated in September 2005, and she resumed using her maiden name. She later dated restaurateur Scott Sartiano from 2006 to 2008 and actor Jerry Ferrara from 2008 to 2009, whom she met while guest-starring on Entourage.
In January 2016, Sigler publicly revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at age 20. She has since become an advocate for MS awareness, working with pharmaceutical companies on awareness campaigns and sharing her experiences to inspire others facing similar health challenges.
