Jayson Alexander Bio
Jayson Blaine Alexander (born November 13, 2002) is an American professional stock car racing driver from Apex, North Carolina. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado RST for Young’s Motorsports. In addition to his national-series work, Alexander has also raced part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and the ARCA Menards Series East.
Early Life and Background
Jayson Blaine Alexander was born on November 13, 2002, in Apex, North Carolina. He grew up in the same town where he still resides today, a community in the heart of North Carolina’s Triangle region that has produced several notable racing talents. The North Carolina roots placed him close to a dense cluster of short tracks and NASCAR operations throughout the Piedmont.
Alexander attended Queens University of Charlotte, where he played men’s lacrosse and graduated with a degree in business administration. He is also currently enlisted in the North Carolina Army National Guard, balancing his military service with his racing program and his work in the motorsports business community.
Path to NASCAR
Alexander began his racing career at the age of eighteen, working as an intern with Reaume Brothers Racing while competing in regional series such as the Carolina Pro Late Model Series and the Sprint Invaders Series. During that development period he also served as a development driver for Costner Weaver Motorsports, gaining seat time on short tracks while learning the operations side of a race team.
In 2024, it was announced that Alexander would drive a partial ARCA Menards Series schedule for Fast Track Racing. He made his ARCA Menards Series East debut at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in the No. 10 Toyota, qualifying twelfth and finishing eighth. He added starts at Flat Rock Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, the East combination race at IRP, and Michigan, building experience across ovals of varying size before reaching the national NASCAR level.
Jayson Alexander Career
Early Career (2020–2023)
Alexander’s earliest documented racing came in 2020 at age eighteen, when he combined a Reaume Brothers Racing internship with starts in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series and the Sprint Invaders Series. The late models offered a traditional Southeast short-track proving ground, while the Sprint Invaders Series gave him open-wheel exposure on smaller ovals.
Working under the Costner Weaver Motorsports development banner allowed him to log practice laps, learn setup tendencies, and build relationships with crew chiefs in the regional ranks. Those years laid the foundation for his move into ARCA’s national ladder.
ARCA Menards Series and East Breakthrough (2024)
Alexander’s 2024 ARCA Menards Series East campaign opened at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, where he wheeled the No. 10 Toyota for Fast Track Racing. After a fourteenth-place run in the lone practice session, he rolled off twelfth and brought the truck-style Toyota home eighth, one lap down, in his series debut.
He followed that with another eighth-place run at Flat Rock Speedway in the No. 10, qualifying tenth after placing seventh in practice. At Charlotte Motor Speedway, Alexander switched to the No. 11 Ford for his main ARCA Menards Series debut, qualifying twentieth but slipping to twenty-ninth after an early cut tire damaged the sway bar. He regrouped with an eighteenth-place finish in the East combination event at IRP and a thirteenth-place run at Michigan, gaining valuable Superspeedway mileage.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Debut and Young’s Motorsports Era (2024–2025)
On August 22, 2024, it was announced that Alexander would attempt his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at the Milwaukee Mile, driving the No. 21 Ford for Floridian Motorsports. Starting from the rear, he hit the outside wall on lap 48 and retired from the event, but the start itself marked his arrival on a national NASCAR stage.
On May 7, 2025, Young’s Motorsports announced that Alexander would run three Truck Series races for the team in their No. 02 truck, beginning at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The Chevrolet Silverado RST program gave him a multi-race plan and a structured path inside the Truck Series paddock.
Driving Style and Strengths
Alexander’s early results show comfort on short tracks and intermediate ovals alike, with consistent top-twenty finishes in his first ARCA national starts. His time as a development driver with Costner Weaver Motorsports and his internship with Reaume Brothers Racing have given him a methodical approach to race craft, with an emphasis on clean qualifying laps and steady race pace.
Notable Races and Milestones
His ARCA Menards Series East debut at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, his main ARCA Menards Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at the Milwaukee Mile stand as his three signature milestones to date. Each marked his first lap in a new national series, and North Wilkesboro represents his first planned multi-race Truck Series schedule.
Jayson Alexander Career Wins
At the time of his Young’s Motorsports announcement, Alexander had not yet recorded a victory in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the ARCA Menards Series, or the ARCA Menards Series East. His documented finishes to date are top-twenty results across ARCA’s national and East divisions, with his best runs coming on short tracks and intermediate ovals.
ARCA Menards Series Highlights
Alexander’s ARCA Menards Series highlights are centered on his 2024 partial schedule with Fast Track Racing. His strongest national-series run came in the East division, where he finished eighth at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and eighth again at Flat Rock Speedway, both in the No. 10 Toyota.

In the regional ranks, Alexander competed in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series and the Sprint Invaders Series while serving as a development driver for Costner Weaver Motorsports. No regional titles or feature wins have been verified in the available record.
