Early Life and Background
Parker Kligerman was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, and grew up in nearby Stamford. When he was eleven years old, his family moved to Westport, Connecticut, where he developed his early love for racing. He remained in Westport before relocating to pursue a career in NASCAR, and he currently resides in Stamford.
Connecticut is not a traditional hotbed for stock car racing, but Kligerman pursued karting and local racing from a young age. His determination and family support helped him progress through the national ladder system. Those early years of grassroots competition laid the foundation for his transition into NASCAR’s development pipeline.
Path to NASCAR
Kligerman entered the Team Penske driver development program and made his first ARCA RE/MAX Series starts in 2008. Driving the No. 77 Cunningham Motorsports Dodge, he ran two events that year before moving into a full-time ride for 2009. He finished second in ARCA points as a rookie and earned both the ARCA RE/MAX Series Rookie of the Year and the prestigious Bill France Four Crown.
That same year, Kligerman made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut at Kansas Speedway for Penske, where he won the pole. He also entered the season finale with Team 42 Racing. These early achievements established him as one of the top young prospects in the Penske stable.

Early Career (2009–2010)
Kligerman’s first full-time NASCAR opportunity came in 2010 with Team 42 Racing in the Nationwide Series. The season started with challenges, including failures to qualify at Daytona and Bristol. He rebounded to earn his first top-ten finish at Bristol’s second race with a ninth-place run and added an eighth-place result at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Those performances showed promise even as his team faced resource limitations. The experience gave Kligerman valuable seat time at a variety of track types, from superspeedways to road courses.

In 2011, Kligerman moved to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to compete for Rookie of the Year with Brad Keselowski Racing, driving the No. 29 Ram. He also drove full-time for Big Machine Racing in the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series, making the playoffs for the first time in his career before being eliminated at the Charlotte Roval. He returned to Big Machine Racing in 2024 and announced his retirement from full-time racing at season’s end.
