    Early Life and Background

Arthur Maulet was born on July 13, 1993, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in the greater New Orleans area and attended Bonnabel High School in Kenner, Louisiana, where he began developing the skills that would carry him to the college ranks.

Coming out of high school, Maulet was not regarded as a top-tier national recruit, but his performances at Bonnabel earned him an opportunity to play college football. His local roots in southeast Louisiana helped shape his early football identity.

After high school, Maulet first attended Copiah–Lincoln Community College, where he played for the Copiah–Lincoln Wolves. He later transferred to the University of Memphis, joining the Memphis Tigers football program to finish out his college career at the Football Bowl Subdivision level.

    Path to American Football

At Copiah–Lincoln Community College, Maulet refined his technique as a defensive back, gaining the experience he needed to attract attention from FBS programs. His time with the Wolves prepared him for the jump in competition that awaited at Memphis.

During his senior season with the Memphis Tigers, Maulet played in all 13 games and posted 73 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, 15 passes defended, and two forced fumbles. That production showcased his willingness to play physically near the line of scrimmage and his ball-hawking ability in coverage.

Despite his productive final college campaign, Maulet went unselected in the 2017 NFL Draft. His path to the NFL required him to earn his way onto a roster as an undrafted free agent.
