The Seattle Seahawks selected Ifedi with the 31st overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, making him the fourth consecutive Texas A&M offensive lineman taken in the first round. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $8.27 million with a $4.2 million signing bonus. After missing September with an ankle injury, he made his NFL debut on October 2, 2016, against the New York Jets. As a rookie, he started 13 regular season games and both of Seattle’s playoff contests.
