Luton was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round with the 189th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He made his first career start in Week 9 against the Houston Texans on November 2, 2020, after starting quarterback Gardner Minshew was sidelined with a thumb injury. Luton completed 26 of 38 passes for 304 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while also scoring on a 13-yard rush, though the Jaguars fell 27–25.
The following week, he started again against the Green Bay Packers, completing 18 of 35 passes for 169 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 24–20 loss. He was then named the starter for a third consecutive game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but struggled in that contest, completing 16 of 37 passes for 151 yards with four interceptions and no touchdowns in a 27–3 defeat. NFL Journeyman Years (2021–2022)
On September 2, 2021, Luton signed with the Seattle Seahawks but was waived on September 28 and re-signed to the practice squad. He was activated on October 10 following an injury to starting quarterback Russell Wilson, then released and re-signed to the practice squad again after the Seahawks signed quarterback Jacob Eason. His final release from Seattle came on November 15.
