Keenan Isaac Bio
Keenan Isaac (born February 17, 2000) is an American professional football cornerback. He played college football for the Alabama State Hornets and entered the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2023, when he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and listed at around 196 pounds during his professional career, Isaac has also spent time with the Carolina Panthers, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Houston Roughnecks of the United Football League (UFL), and the Cleveland Browns.
Since his NFL debut, Isaac has built his career primarily on special teams contributions and depth roles at cornerback, moving between active rosters and practice squads across multiple organizations. He continues to pursue a long-term place in professional football through a series of short stints and reserve contracts in both the NFL and the UFL.
Early Life and Background
Keenan Isaac was born on February 17, 2000, in Midfield, Alabama, and grew up in nearby Birmingham. He attended Midfield High School, where he was a two-sport athlete in football and basketball. On the basketball court, he averaged 18.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, demonstrating the athleticism and court awareness that later translated to his work in the defensive backfield.
In football, Isaac played both ways as a two-way player and was recognized as a second-team all-state selection as a senior. His high school production drew attention from college programs, and he ultimately chose to commit to Alabama State over an offer from Middle Tennessee, opting to play for the Hornets of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
Path to Professional Football
Isaac joined the Alabama State Hornets in 2018 and quickly earned a starting role as a true freshman because of injuries in the secondary. He recorded 34 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, seven pass breakups, and an interception in his first college season, an early sign of the ball skills and physicality that defined his career.
Across his five college seasons, Isaac developed into a reliable, multi-year starter. His 2019 campaign featured 55 tackles, the third-best mark on the team, along with four tackles-for-loss and eight pass breakups. After a 2020–21 season shortened by COVID-19 and limited by an injury that required surgery, he returned to post 33 tackles and seven pass breakups in 2021, then closed his senior year in 2022 with 39 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and two interceptions. His senior performance earned him invitations to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and the HBCU Legacy Bowl, two of the most prominent all-star showcases for draft-eligible players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Keenan Isaac Personal Life
Isaac is a native of Midfield, Alabama, and has remained closely connected to his Birmingham-area roots. He attended Midfield High School before continuing his football career at Alabama State University, where he spent five seasons developing into an NFL-caliber cornerback.
Public details about Isaac’s family and personal relationships are limited, and he has generally kept his life off the field private as he has moved between NFL and UFL rosters since 2023.
2025 Season Performance
The 2025 season has been defined by movement for Keenan Isaac. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Las Vegas Raiders in January before being released in February, and then joined the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL in March for spring football action. His work with the Roughnecks kept him in game shape and provided valuable reps at cornerback while he waited for another NFL opportunity.
That opportunity came on August 1, 2025, when he signed with the Cleveland Browns. He was unable to secure a roster spot, however, and was waived on August 24. With the NFL regular season underway, Isaac’s next path could include a return to a practice squad, another opportunity in spring football, or a late-season call-up depending on team needs at the cornerback position.
