Luke Henman is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre born on April 29, 2000, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He was selected in the fourth round, 96th overall, in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes. Henman developed through major junior hockey before making his professional debut in 2021 with affiliates of the Seattle Kraken, and he is currently playing for Ilves of the Finnish Liiga in Finland.

Major Junior Career (2016–2021)
Henman spent five seasons with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada from 2016 to 2021, growing into one of the QMJHL’s most productive playmakers. During the 2018–19 season, he ended the campaign with 46 points, placing second on the team in scoring.
In 2019–20, he was named to the QMJHL team of the week for the week of December 30, 2019, recording one goal and six assists. He then earned team-of-the-week honours in each of the following two weeks and was named the QMJHL player of the week during the latter stretch. He finished the season with 25 goals and 49 assists in 63 games. In his final junior season in 2020–21, Henman was named player of the week and to the team of the week for the week of November 30, 2020, and added another team-of-the-week selection for the week of February 1, 2021. He left the Armada as the team’s all-time leader in career assists, with 151, and career points, with 214.
Seattle Kraken Organization (2021–2025)
On May 12, 2021, Henman agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, becoming the first player in franchise history to sign with the team. He participated in the Kraken’s training camp before the 2021–22 season and was assigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL on October 2, 2021. He made his professional debut on October 17, 2021, and scored his first professional goal less than two minutes into a November 6 game against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, as part of a 7–3 Checkers victory.
Henman was later assigned to the ECHL’s Allen Americans on December 8, 2021, where he recorded four goals and two assists, including a hat-trick, before being recalled by the Checkers on December 13. On April 8, 2022, he scored a first-period goal in a 3–2 win over the Hartford Wolf Pack that clinched a spot in the 2021 Calder Cup playoffs. He finished the regular season with 14 points through 50 games.
The Kraken’s new AHL affiliate for the 2022–23 season was the Coachella Valley Firebirds, and Henman was named to the Firebirds’ inaugural roster. On December 23, 2022, during the team’s teddy bear toss night, he scored on the Henderson Silver Knights’ Jiri Patera with 6:23 left in the third period, sending 7,278 teddy bears onto the ice in a 1–0 win. During the Firebirds’ inaugural playoff run, he scored two goals, and in 2023–24 he recorded seven goals and seven assists. On June 30, 2024, the Kraken re-signed Henman to a one-year contract, and during the 2024–25 season, he again scored during the Firebirds’ teddy bear toss night, finding the net 3:09 into the game and sending 15,287 teddy bears down from the stands.
Ilves Era (2025–Present)
On August 1, 2025, as a free agent following four seasons within the Kraken organization, Henman opted to sign abroad, agreeing to a one-year contract with Ilves of the Finnish Liiga.
