Moses Josiah Moody (born May 31, 2002) is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 210 pounds, he plays as a guard and has been a member of the Warriors organization since 2021. Moody was drafted 14th overall in the 2021 NBA draft by Golden State and won an NBA championship during his rookie season. Path to Professional Basketball
For his junior year, Moody transferred to Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, one of the most prestigious basketball programs in the nation. While at Montverde, he played for Bradley Beal Elite in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) regular season, averaging 17.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, and earning All-EYBL honorable mention honors. In his senior season, Moody averaged 11.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game for Montverde, the consensus number-one team in the nation, helping the squad post a 25–0 regular season record.
Moody received multiple high-major NCAA Division I scholarship offers as early as his sophomore season and finished high school as a consensus four-star recruit in the 2020 class. On November 9, 2019, he committed to play college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks over offers from programs such as Michigan and Virginia.
