Woody Harrelson & Kristen Stewart Star in Quentin Dupieux’s Full Phil

Studiocanal has released the first image featuring Woody Harrelson and Kristen Stewart from Quentin Dupieux’s upcoming film Full Phil, as the project is set to be introduced at the European Film Market (EFM). The film stars Woody Harrelson as Philip Doom, a wealthy American industrialist who arranges a luxurious trip to Paris in an effort to reconnect with his estranged daughter, portrayed by Stewart.

Plot Introduces Absurd Elements Amidst Family Reconnection

In keeping with Dupieux’s signature absurdist style, their Parisian stay is thrown into disarray by elements including French cuisine, a 1950s horror movie, and a meddlesome hotel employee. These unusual disruptions challenge the smooth progress of their trip and add a surreal layer to the storyline.

Notable Cast Complements Leads in a Star-Studded Ensemble

Joining Harrelson and Stewart are Emma Mackey, Charlotte Le Bon, Tim Heidecker, and Eric Wareheim, enriching the film’s ensemble. The involvement of these prominent actors highlights Hollywood’s continued interest in working on international projects, following recent activity by stars like Jodie Foster in Rebecca Zlotowski’s A Private Life and Angelina Jolie in Alice Winocour’s Couture.

Production Status and Festival Prospects

The film is currently in post-production, with lead production managed by Hugo Sélignac’s Chi-Fou-Mi-Productions alongside Artemis Productions and Samsa Film. Dupieux, who opened the 2024 Cannes Film Festival with his film-within-a-film The Second Act, is expected to present Full Phil at Cannes this year, as previously suggested in the 2026 Films to Light Up Festivals list.
