Ryan Gosling Returns as SNL Host on March 7

Ryan Gosling is set to return to Studio 8H on March 7 for his fourth time hosting Saturday Night Live. The Oscar-nominated actor will appear to promote his upcoming film Project Hail Mary, which releases in theaters on March 20.

Musical Guest and Upcoming Episodes

Gosling will be joined by musical guest Gorillaz, making their debut appearance on SNL. The virtual band, led by Damon Albarn, will perform tracks from their new album The Mountain, scheduled for release on February 27. Additionally, NBC will air another episode the following weekend, March 14, with the host and musical guest yet to be announced.

Recent and Upcoming SNL Hosts and Cast Changes

Earlier in the season, breakout star Connor Storrie hosted the February 28 episode with Mumford & Sons as the musical guest. The current 51st season of Saturday Night Live began in October 2025 with Bad Bunny as the premiere host. This season followed a significant cast reorganization, including the departure of longtime performers Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner, as well as newer members Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow. John Higgins also stepped away from the series, with his Please Don’t Destroy colleague Ben Marshall promoted to the main cast, and Martin Herlihy transitioning to a writing role.

New cast members added this season include Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska. Bowen Yang, a prominent cast member for eight years, left midway through the season, concluding his tenure on an episode hosted by his Wicked co-star Ariana Grande.
