Marlon Wayans Teases White Chicks, Don’t Be a Menace Sequels

Marlon Wayans is eyeing a return for some of his most iconic roles, revealing plans for sequels to White Chicks and Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood if the upcoming Scary Movie 6 performs strongly in theaters. The highly anticipated horror spoof is set to premiere on June 12.

Plans for New Sequels After Scary Movie 6

The actor and co-writer of Scary Movie 6 said that success at the box office would pave the way for reviving other popular films. Marlon expressed confidence that audiences will enjoy the new installment, and said it would leave fans wanting more.

“When y’all see this movie, you’ll be like, ‘That’s it. That’s the one. That’s what we needed,’”

he said on Rap Attack.

“Y’all belly will be full and you’ll be wanting more.”

He continued,

“And so, if Scary Movie does well like we hope it does, then we’ll be back real hard, next White Chicks 2 and Don’t Be a Menace 2. We’re going to dig in the crates and bring back some hits. We know how.”

Returning Cast and Creative Team for Scary Movie 6

The new film marks the returns of characters such as Cindy, Brenda, Ray, and Shorty, with actors Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Shawn Wayans, and Marlon Wayans reprising their roles. Other familiar faces include Dave Sheridan as Doofy, Lochlyn Munro as Greg, Cheri Oteri as Gail, and Anthony Anderson as Mahalik.

Deadline reported in August that Marlon, along with his brothers Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans—who together originally developed the franchise—have reunited for this sixth installment, after being absent for the last three movies. The sequel also brings in new and returning talent, including Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner, and Chris Elliott.

Anticipation Builds Ahead of Scary Movie 6 Release

The trailer for Scary Movie 6 is scheduled to debut on February 27 at screenings during the Scream 7 festival, giving fans an early look at the comedic horror that is expected to bring back the franchise’s signature blend of scares and laughs.

Marlon Wayans’ announcement signals a potential resurgence for the comedy classics White Chicks and Don’t Be a Menace, which could delight longtime fans if Scary Movie 6 meets expectations. This strategy indicates a wider revival of Wayans’ memorable films, adding fresh energy to beloved franchises in the coming years.
