Stephanie Victoria Allen (born 14 December 1991), known professionally as Stefflon Don, is an English rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born in Birmingham of Jamaican descent and raised partly in Rotterdam, she is fluent in Dutch and brings a multicultural perspective to British music. She began releasing music in 2015 and reached wider recognition with her 2017 single “Hurtin’ Me” (featuring French Montana), which peaked at number seven on the UK Singles Chart.
Working across hip hop, dancehall, grime, and R&B, Stefflon Don has built a versatile catalog highlighted by her debut mixtape Real Ting (2016) and her second mixtape Secure (2018). Early Life and Background
Stephanie Victoria Allen was born in Birmingham, West Midlands, England, and is of Jamaican descent. She grew up in a large family with seven siblings, one of whom is the rapper Dutchavelli. When she was five years old, her family relocated to Rotterdam, South Holland, an experience that immersed her in a different culture and led her to become fluent in Dutch.
Allen discovered music early, singing and writing songs from primary school. At the age of nine, she recorded a hook for the song “Hard Knock Life” by rapper U-Niq. Although the track was never officially released, hearing her own voice on the playback inspired her to keep pursuing music. At fourteen, she returned to Britain to continue her studies at a London school.

Stefflon Don first surfaced in 2015 with a cover of Wretch 32’s “6 Words,” which helped establish her presence on the UK scene.
