He grew up in the surrounding Decatur area and spent much of his childhood playing youth sports at the Gresham Park Recreation Complex. Pre-Draft and Draft (2017)
At the Senior Bowl, Everett helped the South squad defeat the North 16–15 and made one catch for six yards. He then attended the NFL Combine and completed every required drill, and he returned to South Alabama’s Pro Day in an effort to improve his short shuttle and broad jump numbers, though he was unable to surpass his combine marks.
